Our managing director, Ben Hancock has developed his own ‘Detailing of Acoustic Finishes’ CPD which provides architects and design teams with expert insights into how our acoustic products can visually and acoustically transform your next project. This CPD includes:

  • Facts and myths – reverberation, frequencies and Class A absorption.
  • Introduction to SonaSpray and Oscar Elite – from textured acoustic sprays to the smoothest acoustic plaster available.
  • A short demonstration of spaces with and without acoustic treatment.
  • Things to be aware of with all acoustic finishes.
  • Live drawing detailing without pitfalls for a quality and long-lasting finish.
  • Introduction to Oscar Evo-Blade knife-edge trim for dramatic transitions between ceiling heights, elegant, recessed lighting channels, perfect corners and a seamless slimline finish.

RIBA approved CPD – ‘diversity in sound & reverberation control in buildings’

 

  • Explanation/demonstration of sound, sound frequencies, reverberation and noise.
  • Building Regs Part E requirement for reverberation controls in schools and common areas.
  • Part E used as good practice for non-school applications.
  • The importance of low frequency reverberation control for hearing impaired people.
